Alejandro Garnacho, 20-year-old winger for Manchester United (contract runs until 2028) and Argentina, has been rumoured to be in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain. The Times claims that there is indeed an interest, despite the fact that the Argentine is on his way out of the English club. Unsurprisingly, journalist Miguel Delaney (The Independent) then mentions an exchange with Nuno Mendes (a 22-year-old Parisian left-back who is reportedly being targeted by ManU).
Nothing impossible, as Garnacho is an interesting player, with a fighting spirit and versatility that could fit in with coach Luis Enrique’s style. And the player seems to be rather close to leaving, so perhaps there’s an enquiry.
However, there’s no certainty either. PSG, Garnacho and Manchester United may have other ideas for the future. As for the Nuno Mendes swap, it’s an unsurprising sequel that doesn’t have a single concrete element.
Let’s not forget that Paris may wish to keep its Portuguese full-back. Perhaps by trying to recruit Garnacho, which is highly uncertain. So we’ll have to wait and see.
