As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its team-type for the 18th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With its 1-3 victory over Lens (video summary Lens/PSG) at Stade Bollaert, Paris Saint-Germain selected 1 of its players: Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker).
We’re not surprised to see Barcola in this team. Even if he wasn’t brilliant throughout the match, the man voted best Parisian player on our site was decisive twice (1 assist and 1 goal), with some interesting choices before that. He may have dribbled less, an area where he’s been struggling a little lately, but he did manage some passes that led to chances. All without forgetting to defend, as always.
It’s hard to see which other Parisian could have been in this standard team, given that PSG suffered most at Lens. Perhaps Gianluigi Donnarumma (25-year-old goalkeeper), who pulled off some fine saves. But it’s understandable that Lecompte, hero of Montpellier’s victory over Monaco, should be present. Just as other Ligue 1 players deserved to be honored.
