After arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 from Benfica, 23-year-old striker Gonçalo Ramos went through a difficult period of adaptation (with a major illness in December 2023) and an injury in the first part of the 2024-2025 season. Although there has been some improvement since then, he hasn’t fully established himself and rumors are coming in. On Friday, Caught Offside announced a number of attractive suitors, but also a high price tag.
“Arsenal, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Napoli and Juventus are among the clubs interested in Gonçalo Ramos, but PSG won’t be selling this summer!
It will then take an amount higher than the purchase price (80M including bonuses), for PSG to simply start talking.”
We remain cautious, as this is still just a rumour and nothing is certain. But we have no doubt that Ramos is of interest to a number of big clubs, given his goalscoring qualities and his superb state of mind. That’s another reason why PSG don’t necessarily want to part with him, even if he isn’t fully establishing himself.
However, a departure is not totally unthinkable. It depends on the offers made and the player’s willingness. He has a great mentality and no doubt appreciates the opportunity to win titles, but might like to have more playing time. Which is why he could also fight for PSG.
We’ll have to wait and see. But Paris won’t make a gift of another club, that’s for sure.
