Marquinhos (31), defender and captain of Paris Saint-Germain, was interviewed by PSG TV on the sidelines of the press conference held on Friday to discuss tomorrow’s 2024-2025 French Cup final match against Reims at the Stade de France (kick-off 9pm, CET). The opportunity to talk about the state of mind and this special period in the season.
Marquinhos “There are 90 minutes to play to win the match and the title.”
What does this Coupe de France final mean to you, with this group and this course?
It’s an exciting moment in the season to reach the final, to come to the Stade de France which we missed last year, there’s the atmosphere. But these are always difficult matches. It’s a final, you have to come to win, take the title and achieve one of the objectives of the season. That’s why we’re here.
Maybe an 8th Coupe de France – every final is different?
With experience, with age, you understand better how difficult it is to reach a final, at this point in the season. That’s why I really appreciate being here. You have to give it your all, we know that in the finals the little details count. There are 90 minutes to play to win the match and the title.
Will that make one final out of 2?
Yes, that’s right. We’ve got some big things to look forward to in these finals. It could be a really great end to the season for us. We need to concentrate on tomorrow’s final so that we can get to the next one in the best possible condition.
