Carlos Soler, the 28-year-old midfielder who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 from Valencia with a contract running until 2027, failed to convince on the pitch and was loaned out to West Ham for the 2024-2025 season. He is now officially back in Paris.
West Ham won’t be keeping Soler, which doesn’t really come as a surprise, even if there was a glimmer of hope. We now need to find a solution for the future. This should be possible, as he was able to get some playing time in the Premier League, even if he wasn’t totally convincing. A return to La Liga, where he had shone, is also on the cards. Napoli have also been mentioned.
But we’re waiting to see any concrete leads. We only suspect that he won’t be playing for PSG again, as he hasn’t established himself and the competition is even tougher than when he left.
