Mathieu Le Scornet, formerly of Stade Rennais and Strasbourg and renowned for his training skills, recently confirmed his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain this summer. This Wednesday, the Parisian club issued an official press release announcing his appointment as Technical Director of the Training & Pre-Training Center. There is also an explanation of this role.
“At Paris Saint-Germain, his main mission will be to ensure the proper application of the technical policy and methodology laid down by the Club for the Training and Pre-Training Center, in order to guarantee optimum development for young players.
Reporting directly to the Centre de Formation & Préformation’s Sports Director, Yohan Cabaye, he will be in charge of managing the entire Centre de Formation & Préformation technical staff and ensuring proper coordination with the various sports departments involved with the players”.
Le Scornet arrives to further strengthen a training center that has already demonstrated its ability to nurture young talent. He is known for his expertise in monitoring and developing players, so he could be a great asset in taking the team to the next level.
The idea is always to be able to strengthen the professional team from time to time, as well as having departures to fill the coffers a little for interesting players who don’t take a place in the first team. This happens, either through lack of patience or simply because the competition is always very tough.
