Lucas Chevalier, 23-year-old goalkeeper for Lille (contract until 2027) and the French national team, is reportedly close to Paris Saint-Germain in this transfer window to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma (26 years old, contract until 2026, extension blocked). Journalist Fabrice Hawkins stated on RMC Sport that Lille’s asking price exceeds €50 million and that the transfer is progressing well.
“| LOSC is asking for €40 million, with bonuses that could reach €50-55 million!
Talks between LOSC and PSG will not pose a problem!
All parties are confident!
The player is very motivated to join PSG!”
At the beginning of the deal, the main question was €40 million and possible bonuses. It was hard to imagine the sum increasing by at least €10 million (a quarter of the fixed amount, therefore). It’s a significant increase, which could dampen the enthusiasm surrounding this signing a little. Even if it doesn’t change Chevalier’s qualities. And we can only trust the Parisian club with its money.
Let’s wait though; nothing is certain at the moment. There have only been rumors, without any concrete evidence. Let’s hope it happens soon. The wait is getting a bit long.
