Today, Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti unveiled his squad for the September matches against Chile and Bolivia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Of Paris Saint-Germain’s two Brazilians, only one has been called up: Marquinhos (31-year-old central defender). Lucas Beraldo (21-year-old central defender) has been left out.
This isn’t a big surprise, as Marquinhos is an important player and is already in form with PSG. The young Beraldo, meanwhile, is more of an understudy against immense competition.
