As it does after every season’s championship, L’Équipe has established its team of the year for Matchday 4 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, which took place this weekend. With their 2-0 victory against Lens at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain has two players selected.
Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) and Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward) are included in this team of the year, which seems quite logical. The former was once again the master in midfield and provided two assists. It was precisely for the latter, a great creator of chances for the Parisian side and scorer of two fine goals. In a strong team, they were the individuals who stood out from the rest.
It’s difficult to see which other Parisians could have been selected, as they still lacked a bit of control and precision at times. We also need to highlight other Ligue 1 players, as there is quality there. We can, however, note the return to form of Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder), in particular.
