Gonçalo Ramos, PSG’s 24-year-old striker, spoke to CBS Sports Golazo after the 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona on Wednesday at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, as part of the second matchday of the 2025-2026 Champions League group stage. He reflected on a very important result and his goal.
Ramos: “We have to win as much as possible and we wanted to do it here.”
A great feeling to come from behind and win?
“Yes, it’s important for us to win here. They have a very good team, one of the best in the world. Last season, we didn’t start well in the first games, and then we had to win everything at the end. In this competition, we have to win as much as possible and we wanted to do it here.”
Your offside positioning before the ball went wide, to get a head start without being offside afterward — was that intentional?
“Yes, I thought about their very high defensive line. I like that position. There was the video of Harry Kane, and I wanted to do the same thing.”
