As part of Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stages, Paris Saint-Germain traveled to face Bayern Leverkusen and secured a 2-7 victory. Speaking to PSG TV, Ousmane Dembélé, the 28-year-old striker, who has just returned from injury and is already a goal-scorer, reflected on this victory.
Dembélé: “Little by little, I’ll get back to my best”
“Winning 7-2 away is always difficult. And we’re starting the Champions League very well, with three matches and three wins. We’ll try to continue like this. The fans? I heard them throughout the match. And there you go, I feel very good. Little by little, I’ll get back to my best and be at 100%, that’s important. The season has started, I had a small injury, and I hope to come back and perform well.”
Barely back and already performing, the new 2025 Ballon d’Or winner has already shown he’s ready to shine on the European stage, as he has done throughout the year. Already very strong collectively, the capital club is gradually getting most of its key players back. And like Ousmane Dembélé, everyone wants to reintegrate into the team in order to shine and confirm their status as European champions.
Let’s hope that in the coming weeks, the capital club doesn’t see any more players joining the injury list. The season is still long, but PSG seems determined to continue making history, as it has done throughout 2025.
