Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 against Lorient this Wednesday at the Stade du Moustoir in Matchday 10 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to Ligue1+ and didn’t hide his frustration.
Luis Enrique: “We could have played another 90 minutes and still not scored.”
How is Doué?
I don’t know, I’m not a doctor. But it’s not good news.
What’s your analysis of this match?
It’s simple, I think we played a bad match, a very bad first half. We didn’t create any chances or opportunities, and the opposition defended very well. It was difficult; we improved a little in the second half, but we could have played another 90 minutes and still not scored. Today was tough.
Luis Enrique: “When you don’t have the movement, the runs in behind, and you lack that composure, it’s difficult.”
Did the introduction of Vitinha and Neves make a difference?
A little better, but we lacked composure and we didn’t create any chances, and it’s difficult to win an away game like that.
Lorient played very, very deep. What did you ask of your players?
We’re used to playing against teams that mostly play like that. We’re used to it, but today, when you don’t have one-on-ones, when you don’t have the movement, the runs in behind, and you lack that composure, it’s difficult. They defended well, and that’s football.
There is Frustration…
That’s why I’m a coach, and when you haven’t achieved what you’re looking for, it means you haven’t succeeded in your task.
