This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain (5th) faces Tottenham (10th) at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 5 of the 2025-2026 Champions League (kick-off at 9 pm, CET). On Tuesday, Le Parisien and L’Equipe published their predicted starting lineups for PSG.
Le Parisien or L’Equipe:
Barcola – Mayulu or Lee – Kvaratskhelia
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Zaïre-Emery
Chevalier.
This is a perfectly plausible, even highly probable, lineup given the available players. There’s little doubt about the defense and attack, as the established players are all expected to start, with Warren Zaïre-Emery replacing Achraf Hakimi.
There’s more uncertainty surrounding the attack, particularly the number 9 position. Which one shouldn’t be Gonçalo Ramos, who hasn’t been able to convince as a starter. That leaves Senny Mayulu or Lee Kang-in. The former has played more in that role, but seems to be running out of steam lately (which is understandable). The latter appears to be in top form, but has mainly played on the wing or in midfield. He could adapt; he’s done it a few times before. The Korean is also a possibility for playing in midfield, if one of the trio of Ruiz/Vitinha/Neves isn’t feeling his best.
We’ll have to wait for confirmation, but remember that coach Luis Enrique always knows how to surprise.
