Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (2nd), spoke in a press conference this Friday before facing Rennes (5th) at the Parc des Princes tomorrow (kick-off at 9:05 p.m.,CET) for Matchday 15 of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season. On the sidelines of the event, the Spanish manager also spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “It does a lot of good.”
Does it feel good to finally have a full week of work?
“It does a lot of good. We need a bit of calm. After the defeat, it was very difficult. But we have to analyse everything and look ahead with the same attitude as always. We’re happy to play at home again. We’re already focused on tomorrow’s match.”
What’s the best advice for becoming a professional at PSG?
“The best thing you can do is grow as a person and as a player, but without putting pressure on yourself to become a professional. You need a lot of luck to get here. But if you enjoy the journey, with your friends and with the pleasure of playing, that’s the best thing.”
Luis Enrique: “We were lucky that PSG wanted to sign me.”
What does it feel like to coach PSG?
“You have to do a lot to get here. I’ve been a coach for 15 years, with a lot of work, and we were lucky that PSG wanted to sign me. It’s very beautiful, but at the same time difficult. There is a lot of pressure. Most things are positive, but there are always challenges to overcome. I’m happy, and it’s a wonderful moment for the club. I hope it will continue for a long time.”
