This Sunday evening, Paris Saint-Germain will experience a special night at the Parc des Princes. Before kickoff against Paris FC, the club will pay tribute to Jean-Louis Gasset, who passed away on December 26 at the age of 72, as revealed by Le Parisien. An emotional ceremony will be followed by the presentation of the six trophies won in 2025, a year that will remain etched in Parisian history.

“The Parc des Princes will pay tribute to Jean-Louis Gasset this Sunday, on the sidelines of the Ligue 1 match between PSG and Paris FC (8:45 pm). The former assistant coach to Luis Fernandez (2001-2003) and Laurent Blanc (2013-2016) passed away on December 26 at the age of 72.

” This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain will also take advantage of this first home match of the calendar year to showcase the six trophies they have won in 2025: Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the Intercontinental Cup, and the Trophée des Champions.

Some silences speak volumes. This Sunday, the Parc des Princes is expected to experience one such silence—a heavy, sincere, almost solemn one. It will be the silence of a stadium rising to its feet for Jean-Louis Gasset, a man of the shadows, a discreet builder, a coach respected by all. Not a legend in the stands, but an essential figure, one of those who gives soul to the locker room and backbone to great teams.

And then will come the other highlight: the trophies. Six cups lined up as proof that a season can become legendary. But on this evening, glory will not erase the emotion. It will prolong it. As if PSG were reminding us that the greatest successes aren’t measured solely in money or titles, but also in legacy. It will be a celebration, yes. But above all, a moment of passing on the torch, a blend of memory and collective pride.
