Senny Mayulu, the 19-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, spoke to Ligue1+ after the 1-0 victory against Auxerre this Friday at the Stade Abbé-Deschamps, in the 19th round of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Mayulu: “It felt good.”
Was it a hard-fought victory?
“Auxerre were a good team, it was difficult, and we managed to score at the end. It was a tough match from start to finish because they sat deep, playing as a unit. They played on the counter-attack. We managed to score at the end, which felt good. We had a lot of chances, we pushed forward, and that goal at the end felt great.”
Mayulu: “We’ll give it our all.”
As Ligue 1 leaders, are you putting on the pressure?
That’s football. We want to take back first place, we want to win this championship, we’re going to do everything we can and not give up until the end of the season. In the last few matches, we’re going to push hard every time to pull away.
Mayulu: “The coach tells me to make a lot of runs, to play on the ball.”
What role does Luis Enrique give you?
The coach tells me to make a lot of runs, to play on the ball. You can see that in our game we make a lot of runs, and really he tells me to play football, not to play the role of João or Fabian. He gives me instructions to make runs in behind, to play.
