This Friday, during Matchday 19 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Auxerre at the Stade Abbé-Deschamps. After a match where the Red and Blue dominated while showing some technical vulnerabilities, they won 1-0. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (5) – Little to do in the first half. He mainly made short passes.
Defenders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (5) – A timid first half. Solid in duels, but still lacks a bit of initiative.
Ilyia Zabarnyi (6) – Solid in duels, his first half was well-played. A good match overall.
Lucas Beraldo (5.5) – Effective in his duels, he did his job in the first half. Very good at distributing the ball. He lacks pace, but he wasn’t put under too much pressure either.
Lucas Hernandez (5) – Very involved, he brought energy. Not always perfectly in front of goal, he tried to move the game forward. His second half was significantly less accomplished. He seemed to be feeling the effects of the physical strain.
Midfielders –
Senny Mayulu (5.5) – He’s going through a difficult period at the moment. He’s making few impact and making few good decisions. We saw him try things much more in the second half, but he’s clearly not at his best.
Vitinha (6) – Still as incisive as ever with the ball, we still regret a lack of precision in the final pass or shot at the moment. Less prominent in the second half, he remains the metronome, even on a less than ideal night.
Forwards –
Ibrahim Mbaye (5) – He’s just returned from the Africa Cup of Nations and tried to inject some energy into the game, but his first half wasn’t exceptional. Substituted by Désiré Doué in the 61st minute.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (4) – A good attacking sequence, but some crosses that didn’t find their target. Frustration has been building for him lately, as evidenced by his first half. Offensively, he didn’t contribute enough.
Bradley Barcola (6) – He makes a difference, that’s undeniable, but without working on his finishing, he won’t improve. Fortunately, after several attempts, he finally scored, which will do him good, but again, his technique wasn’t perfectly executed. He needs to regain his confidence in front of goal.
Gonçalo Ramos (4) – Present, lively, but only one clear-cut chance in the first half. Frustrated, he left the pitch visibly angry. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 61st minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (5) – He’s making do with what he has, and it’s quite limited. It’s more frustrating not seeing these Parisians be more technically gifted. He’s not on the pitch, but he’s the conductor. That doesn’t mean this PSG won’t succeed, but the margin for error is getting smaller and smaller. It’s up to him to find the resources.
