On Tuesday at the Stade Louis II, Paris Saint-Germain defeated AS Monaco 3-2 in the first leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League playoff (the second leg is on Wednesday, February 25). As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for the best PSG player of the game. Désiré Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward) won.

It was a deserved victory. The Parisian number 14 came on at 0-2 and played a key role in turning the game around with a top-level performance. We saw Doué again, putting his talent at the service of the team and efficiency. With a brace and a shot that led to Achraf Hakimi’s goal (27-year-old right-back), in addition to the chances he created, this impressive performance was to be expected.
While other PSG players impressed, Hakimi and Warren Zaïre-Emery (the 19-year-old midfielder) are no surprises in completing the podium. We saw a strong team effort in response to Monaco, but Doué stood out a bit.
Thank you for your votes. As a reminder, the top three players from each match are then used to determine the Player of the Month.
