Paris Saint-Germain defeated Metz 3-0 this Saturday at the Parc des Princes in Matchday 23 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to Ligue1+.
Luis Enrique: “We still need to improve.”
Is this an important moment in the season? After the defeat against RC Lens?
What I think is that Lens is having an incredible season with many wins. They are playing very good football, and there are still 11 matches left. I think we still need to improve to try and win the league again.
Luis Enrique: “We have to take it step by step.”
You’ve helped Zaïre-Emery develop; what’s your plan for Dro?
He’s still young, he has a lot of quality, but we have to take it step by step. Sometimes people get a little crazy. Warren has changed, but it’s not thanks to me, it’s thanks to him. He’s an incredible player, he can play anywhere. For me, as a coach, it’s wonderful to have a player like him.
Surprised by Metz?
It depends on each coach. What I can say about this team, whether it’s their match at home or here, they showed they can press, they know how to defend, and it was difficult against them. Of course, since there’s space, we have the opportunity to improve, but what Metz did today is very positive.
Luis Enrique: “We’ll see tomorrow.”
Is Dembélé fine, wil he be fit against Monaco?
I don’t know yet, but his injury isn’t serious, it’s just a knock, and we’ll see tomorrow.
