As is customary after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 23 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend. With their 3-0 victory against Metz at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain has one player selected.

Lucas Hernandez (30-year-old defender) delivered a very solid performance against Metz and is not a major surprise in this Team of the Week. There are more spectacular players, but he fulfilled his defensive duties well and his distribution was clean. Not to mention that it was his tackle that set up Gonçalo Ramos (24-year-old goalscorer) for the third goal.
Other Parisians could have been included in this starting eleven, such as Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) or Ilya Zabarnyi (23-year-old defender). But other players have also delivered impressive performances in Ligue 1 and deserve recognition. This is great news, as it demonstrates the high level of competition in this league. Although, it’s also worth noting that the expectations are often higher for PSG players.
