As is customary after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 25 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, which took place this past weekend. Following their 3-1 defeat against Monaco at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain has no players selected.
After such a disappointing loss, it was difficult to imagine a PSG player making the Team of the Week. While the inclusion of the Monaco goalkeeper is worth noting, it serves as a reminder of the chances created by PSG. This point, however, is not emphasized by the mainstream media, nor by most fans.
There is a lack of efficiency, a problem with confidence in finishing. But the team is not as outclassed as some “analyses” based primarily on the result suggest.
