Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 25-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, spoke to TNT Sports after PSG’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea (8-2 on aggregate, quarter-final to be played against Liverpool or Galatasaray) on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League Round of 16 tie (second leg on March 17).
Kvaratskhelia said, “There are other big matches and we have to focus on what’s next.”
Was this an important performance to win the trophy again?
“Of course, it’s very important to come to these incredible stadiums, with a superb atmosphere, and win. It was important for us to regain our confidence. It was an important victory, we’re very happy. But we have to keep going, there are other big matches and we have to focus on what’s next.”
Is the team ready to go all the way?
We know we’re capable of anything; we already did it last year. But it will be difficult, of course, there are a lot of matches. We always have to play well, stay focused, and work hard.
Kvaratskhelia: “We’re happy to play together.”
Are you in top form individually?
I try to work hard every day. It’s my job to help the team. We have an incredible team, and we’re happy to play together. I’m happy to be part of this team.
