Dro Fernandez, the 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, spoke to PSG TV after the 4-0 victory against Nice this Saturday at the Allianz Riviera in Matchday 27 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Dro Fernandez: “I came here for this and I’m very happy.”
“It’s great. I’m very happy to score my first goal. I always want to give my all and help the team; I’m ready for that. And above all, I’m very happy with this victory. We knew it was important, and I think we played a very good match from start to finish.
We went into halftime with a lot of confidence, and we came back as strong as possible after the break. I’m very happy to have been able to help the team; that’s what I’m here for.” I came here for this and I’m very happy, but above all for the team’s victory.
This was an important win for PSG, who needed to build on their Champions League qualification last Tuesday. Ligue 1 remains the primary objective, and after RC Lens’ victory on Friday, Luis Enrique’s men needed to consolidate their top spot and send a clear message to their closest rivals.
Winning away from home is always difficult, especially against OGC Nice, who are always determined to win in front of their home fans. Playing calmly, the Parisians quickly took control of the match before taking the lead.
The Eagles ultimately created very few chances, and even though the penalty and the sending-off proved pivotal in this match, the capital club was still utterly dominant throughout.
