Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, held a press conference this Monday ahead of facing Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow (kick-off at 9pm, CET) in the second leg of the quarter-finals (2-0 in the first leg) of the 2025-2026 Champions League. On the sidelines of this event, the Spaniard also spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “We’re preparing as usual, we don’t want to defend the result.”
How have you used the training since the first leg?
We’re back! We were here last year. Training at the away stadium is special; we’ve had time to prepare. Recovery has been good, and we’re getting Barcola back. We’re happy.
Is the approach still to try and win?
What we can say for sure is that the second leg will be very different from the first. They haven’t had a good result, so they’ll be eager to win. It will be very different. You have to know how to manage difficult moments. We’re preparing as usual; we don’t want to defend the result. That’s not our mentality. We’re going to try and win. Mentality will be key.
3,000 fans in attendance?
That’s always good news. We feel their support, and we’re aiming to win so we can all enjoy football together.
