On Matchday 12 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain take on Toulouse at the Parc des Princes this Friday at 9pm. It’s not the most exciting match of the weekend, but it won’t be easy for Paris.

An intense European race.

The match between PSG (1st) and Toulouse (10th) should enable the Parisians to confirm their excellent trip to Angers before the break and get back into the swing of things before the Champions League. Beware, though, as Toulouse will be no pushovers, and we know that the resumption can be complicated. Especially with next Tuesday’s match against Bayern Munich on the line. It’s up to the Parisians to tackle this comeback properly.

When the time comes to play, we’ll know whether Monaco (2nd) can put the pressure back on with a win, or whether the slide continues when they entertain Brest (12th). This is a team that is in the process of dropping down the league table, even though their Champions League campaign has been exceptional. It’s a great European clash, and let’s hope for a good show.

Just behind them in the standings, OM (3rd) face a tough trip to Lens, in 8th place, who are only 3 points behind and need to be fully involved in the European race. Another vital duel in this very tight battle is the visit of Lyon (5th) to Reims (7th). Every point could be precious.

Lille (4th) could be more relaxed against Rennes (13th), but this Rennes team is unpredictable and could wake up. Even so, it would be a real surprise if Lille were to succeed. You never know, especially with a change of coach. Jorge Sampaoli has replaced Julien Stéphan.

In terms of staying up, there are two particularly important matches: Saint-Etienne (16th) host Montpellier (18th), while Nantes (14th) welcome Le Havre (17th).
