Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old forward for RB Leipzig (under contract until 2030) and the Ivory Coast national team, has recently been reported as being very close to joining Paris Saint-Germain. However, Bild and Sky Sport claim that a deal with the German club is far from a sure thing.

According to reports from BILD Sport, RB Leipzig is continuing to work on extending Diomande’s contract with significantly improved financial terms.
A move to Paris is currently not on the agenda for the German club’s sporting leadership, headed by sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
Despite Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reaching out to Red Bull boss Oliver Mintzlaff, it is unlikely that the RB Leipzig supervisory board chairman would be willing to let Diomande leave!

Sky Sport DE confirms: Leipzig’s stance is to keep Diomande, aiming for a contract extension that includes a release clause and a higher salary.
Leipzig would only be willing to let Diomande go in exchange for an exceptionally high transfer fee—exceeding €130 million.
Note: nothing is certain at this stage. It is still just a rumor, and we have seen German media get it wrong regarding PSG’s recruitment before. Not to mention potential media gamesmanship, with Leipzig keen to signal that the transfer won’t be easy—even if Diomande is eager to join Paris. That, too, remains unconfirmed, so we are exercising caution amidst the ongoing uncertainty.
There are reasons to believe a transfer could happen, though we also know the transfer market is full of surprises and can shift rapidly. We are therefore waiting for concrete details before drawing any firm conclusions. Negotiations could well take time, even though the media was quick to talk about an imminent resolution.
