Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich faced off this Tuesday at the Allianz Arena as part of Matchday 5 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase. The match ended in a 1-0 German victory. After the match, Bavarian team coach Vincent Kompany spoke to Prime Vidéo.
“I’m obviously pleased. Our pressing in the first half was very good. The discipline was there. We could have scored maybe one or two more goals, but the result is good.”
The German coach is logically satisfied, having taken all 3 points. It was difficult, logically, against a PSG team with great qualities, even if the fashion in France is to shoot them down.
Bayern were superior, though, winning 1-0. There are still a few limitations on the Parisian side, with a fragility at set-pieces and a worry about being effective offensively.
But these concerns do not apply to the Munich team, who were able to win, even if it was difficult. These 3 points are good news.
