Anaïs Ebayilin, an 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, has extended her contract until 2031. Speaking to PSG TV, she expressed her pride in the extension and shared her ambitions while wearing the Red and Blue jersey.
Ebayilin: “Paris saw me grow up; Paris scolded me but also accepted me for who I am.”
What does extending your contract with the club mean to you?
“I’ve always dreamed of wearing this jersey. Knowing that my journey continues—that they’ve put their trust in me with a long-term contract—makes me feel free. I’m very proud to be here. For myself, my family, and the club. It accepted and welcomed me. Paris saw me grow up; Paris scolded me but also accepted me for who I am, so it’s an honor to continue with Paris Saint-Germain.”
As a homegrown player, what does this extension signify?
“It’s important to show that we’re here, that we grew up here, and that we have ambitions for this club. I hope to inspire those who are here or who have just signed their first professional contract. It’s important to show that the club values its academy players.”
Ebayilin: “We have excellent facilities that allow us to perform at a high level.”
Is the campus an asset for your development?
“Of course. We have everything we need to train well and improve. We have excellent facilities that allow us to perform at a high level.”
Do you feel more pressure after this extension?
“No, this contract is really about trust. It’s important to stay true to yourself. It’s not pressure being put on us, but love—genuine trust.”
What motivated you the most to extend your contract?
“We’re a real team.” “It wasn’t easy, but we managed to bounce back. We’re putting last year behind us and focusing on the future. The project made me want to stay. And, naturally—since it’s Paris Saint-Germain—it was a very logical and easy choice to make.”
What are the team’s stated ambitions?
“To make a real impression, because we are a big club. We want to show that Paris Saint-Germain is a force to be reckoned with—that facing us is a daunting prospect. To do that, we need to perform and win matches, and that’s exactly what we plan to do this season.”
