Zayon Chtaï-Telamio, a 19-year-old forward developed at Paris Saint-Germain, reached the end of his youth contract this summer, and a decision was made for him to leave. Consequently, a club had to be found for his first professional contract. That has now been achieved, with his signing for Guingamp (Ligue 2) announced today.
The PSG academy graduate has secured a promising next step for his career. Guingamp is a significant club in France, naturally aiming to return to Ligue 1. Furthermore—though sometimes overlooked amidst the focus on the Champions League—Ligue 2 is undeniably a high-level competition. It is an excellent league for career progression. Playing time is likely more attainable there than in Paris, which could prove beneficial for Chtaï-Telamio.
Of course, one shouldn’t assume it will be easy. The league features top-quality players, stiff competition, and high standards; nothing is simply handed to you.
