The 2026 summer transfer window is here, and rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are mounting. This time, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports interest in Guéla Doué, a 23-year-old Ivorian right-back currently under contract with Strasbourg until 2029.
“Discussions have already taken place”
EXCLUSIVE: Paris Saint-Germain has its eye on Guéla Doué!
The Racing Strasbourg right-back is a concrete option for the Parisians, who are open to signing a right-sided defender capable of playing centrally before the transfer window closes.
Deal at a preliminary stage. Discussions have already taken place, but there has been no concrete progress yet.
This is a highly credible report, as Doué appears to be a logical signing for PSG. We have even discussed him regularly during our live streams covering PSG’s transfer activity. He is an excellent, rising talent with a bright future ahead of him. He offers great attacking contributions and could provide strong competition for Achraf Hakimi (27). Furthermore, he is capable of filling in centrally, meeting the defensive requirements of PSG’s high defensive line.
Of course, it remains to be seen if Doué is ready to accept such stiff competition by leaving Strasbourg. Not to mention that the Alsatian club must be willing to let him go; recent talk suggests a price tag of around €40 million. We will have to wait for further updates. This could turn into a hot topic in the coming days, or it could be a lead that fizzles out quite quickly.
