Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old forward developed at Paris Saint-Germain and under a professional contract until 2028, is looking to leave during this transfer window in search of more playing time. Several clubs have been linked with him, including Liverpool. According to journalists David Ornstein, Fabrizio Romano, and Fabrice Hawkins, the PSG academy graduate is now closing in on a move to Aston Villa.

Negotiations between Aston Villa and Paris Saint-Germain for Ibrahim Mbaye are progressing well.
The player hasn’t given the green light yet, but the English club is currently in pole position.
These are generally reliable journalists, and since they are largely in agreement, there is reason to believe Aston Villa is indeed moving forward with the signing of Mbaye. This would be great news for both PSG and the player. At €55 million, it can be considered a solid sale for a forward who no longer seemed to feature in coach Luis Enrique’s plans. As for Mbaye, the Premier League is a fantastic league, and Aston Villa is a club that just finished 4th and will be playing in the Champions League—notably facing Paris during the league phase.
A word of caution: nothing is finalized yet. It is best to remain prudent, especially regarding the exact fee. However, there is reason to hope for concrete progress soon, given that the Mbaye deal had previously seemed somewhat stalled.
