Paris Saint-Germain continues its transfer market preparations with a rather unusual move. According to A Bola, the Parisian club has paid SC Braga €3.3 million to secure a right of first refusal on Mario Dorgeles, an Ivorian midfielder who joined the Portuguese club in 2025.

PSG has paid SC Braga €3.3 million to secure a right of first refusal on Mario Dorgeles.
This agreement gives the Parisian club priority status regarding any future transfer of the Ivorian midfielder, who arrived at Braga in 2025 for €11 million.
In practical terms, this agreement would give PSG priority should the player be transferred in the future. While this is an interesting detail regarding Paris’s strategy, it calls for caution: this is not a signing, nor is it the announcement of an imminent arrival.
Nevertheless, Paris has agreed to spend a significant sum—far from a trivial amount—simply to secure this priority status. This clearly demonstrates an interest in Dorgeles and, above all, allows PSG to position itself early on without having to proceed immediately to a transfer.
It is therefore important to distinguish between the club’s genuine interest and the conclusions one might be tempted to draw from it. For the time being, Mario Dorgeles remains a Braga player, and PSG simply holds an advantage should his future come down to the transfer market. At a cost of €3.3 million, after all, Paris clearly did not ask to keep its place in line for free.
