This Wednesday, L’Equipe devoted a few pages to the salaries of Première Arkéma players, including a top 11 list for the 2024-2025 season. Unsurprisingly, it features Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais, with the latter “dominating” (7 places against 4).

With only PSG keeping pace with Lyon on wages, there’s a noticeable gap in the standings (even if the end-of-season playoff keeps hopes alive for the title). It’s worth noting that there are several Lyonnaises here who have come through PSG, including Chawinga and Diani.
An unpleasant observation, given that Paris has yet to renew its squad after losing a number of key players. This is likely to continue, particularly with Katoto. Let’s hope that the Parisian club will find solutions, as this season is rather one of doubts.
