This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their Champions League 2024-2025 semi-final (return on May 7, kick-off 9pm CET). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
The Parisian team is always difficult to guess with coach Luis Enrique. Even if there seem to be a few certainties emerging in the Champions League. In defense, for example, there are few doubts.
In midfield, Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha and João Neves have all made important contributions. But Warren Zaïre-Emery may also have something to say. There’s also the possibility of Désiré Doué. But he could also be a striker…or a substitute.
Competition is also strong in the attacking sector. We’re expecting to see Ousmane Dembélé in central midfield, although Gonçalo Ramos could be a surprise. On the flanks, Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are strong candidates. Seeing one of them on the bench wouldn’t be shocking either.
Finally, there’s Lee Kang-In, whom Luis Enrique tends to trust. Although he would be a big surprise for this match, both in midfield and in attack.
Possible line-up :
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
Substitutes – Safonov, Tenas, Beraldo, Kimpembe, Hernandez, Mayulu, Zaïre-Emery, Barcola, Lee, Mbaye, Ramos.
Out – El Hannach, Tape, Zague (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card: None, cards reset to 0.
