This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Aston Villa at Villa Park in the second leg of their Champions League 2024-2025 quarter-final (Paris won 3-1 in the first leg) (kick-off 9pm, CET). On the eve of the match, L’Equipe has put forward a likely Parisian line-up.
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Barcola ou Doué
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Yesterday, RMC Sport placed Désiré Doué on the right, while Le Parisien opted for Bradley Barcola. L’Equipe took no chances: it will be one or the other. Indeed, that seems to be the big doubt for this match.
Barcola can bring a little more pace, while Aston Villa should be less defensive than they were in the first leg, with two goals to recover from. But Doué can also use depth, and the English team won’t necessarily be starting very high up the pitch. Which doesn’t mean Barcola won’t start. It could also be Kvaratskhelia on the bench.
And let’s not forget a possible surprise in another line, which would be aptly named. But let’s not forget that coach Luis Enrique knows how to surprise.
