On Tuesday at Villa Park, Paris Saint-Germain lost 3-2 to Aston Villa (Aston Villa/PSG video highlights) in the second leg of the Champions League 2024-2025 quarter-finals (3-1 first leg, 4-5 aggregate). Here are the grades awarded by Le Parisien and L’Équipe to the capital’s players after qualification.
Le Parisien :
Kvaratskhelia (3) – Dembélé (4) – Barcola (4)
Ruiz (5) – Vitinha (4) – Neves (4)
Nuno Mendes (5,5) – Pacho (3,5) – Marquinhos (4,5) – Hakimi (6)
Donnarumma (8,5)
L’Equipe :
Luis Enrique – 5
Kvaratskhelia (3) – Dembélé (6) – Barcola (5)
Ruiz (4) – Vitinha (3) – Neves (4)
Nuno Mendes (5) – Pacho (4) – Marquinhos (5) – Hakimi (5)
Donnarumma (8)
Donnarumma deserves the title of best Parisian player. It’s logical, and it’s also good to see a great keeper to carry his team, which has clearly been struggling. Hakimi has worked hard, even if he doesn’t have the same enthusiasm as at the start of the season. Dembélé also had a good game, even if it was meagre given the result. Paris gave themselves a fright, and that’s reflected in the scores.
