On the sidelines of Monday’s press conference to discuss tomorrow’s 2024-2025 Champions League Round 5 match against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+Foot in France), Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was interviewed by PSG TV. The interview was an opportunity to discuss the team’s state of mind and their approach to the match.

Luis Enrique: “You can feel the desire in the players.

How do you feel about the match?

Really good! We overcame a difficult context to win last weekend. And now we can really feel the players wanting to give their all to win tomorrow’s match.

Luis Enrique “We don’t want to leave it to chance.”

How close are you to this match?

I focus on the same idea every game. We’re going to try, while being aware of the opponent, who is similar to us with high play, pressing, great players. It’s going to be a big fight for the ball.

I think it’s important to have the ball, but it’s difficult. We’re not going to speculate, hoping that something will or won’t happen. We don’t want to leave it to luck. We’re going to try to take the initiative and win.
