The first-leg play-offs for the Champions League 2024-2025 were played this week (find all the results here). UEFA then organizes a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who won at the Stade Francis-Le Blé today against Brest (0-3), is not among the nominees for player of the week. The competition is between Serhou Guirassy (28-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker), Vicinius Junior (24-year-old Real Madrid striker), Igor Paixão (24-year-old Feyenoord striker) and Vangelis Pavlidis (26-year-old Benfica striker).
One might have thought of the Parisians Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker who scored twice) or Vitinha (24-year-old midfielder), who was the master of the midfield as well as scoring a penalty. Except that the Brest/PSG match didn’t really make an impression. And there are of course great performances from these 4 players in order to be present.
