This week saw the first legs of the 2025-2026 Champions League Round of 16 matches played (find all the results here). UEFA then organizes various votes among fans. Paris Saint-Germain, who won at the Parc des Princes this Wednesday against Chelsea (5-2, video highlights PSG/Chelsea), are among the nominees for Player of the Week. The competition is between Federico Valverde (27-year-old midfielder/right-back for Real Madrid), Michael Olise (24-year-old winger/attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich), Julian Alvarez (26-year-old forward for Atlético Madrid), and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (25-year-old forward for PSG).
Kvaratskhelia’s performance was remarkable, coming on in the 63rd minute to score twice and provide an assist. He turned the game around and potentially secured their place in the Round of 16. He faces stiff competition for this honorary title, but the most important thing is that he helped PSG move closer to their objective with a top-level performance.
