This week saw the first legs of the 2025-2026 Champions League semi-finals played. UEFA then organizes various votes among the fans. Paris Saint-Germain, who triumphed 5-4 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday against Bayern Munich, had a player in contention for the Champions League Player of the Week award. The competition was between Ousmane Dembélé (PSG’s 28-year-old forward) and Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid’s 35-year-old forward). Dembélé emerged victorious.
A fine victory for the Parisian striker, who shone brightly in a historic match featuring a true attacking masterclass from both sides. In fact, other players could well have been named Man of the Match, as well as Player of the Week. The performances in Atlético Madrid/Arsenal (1-1) shouldn’t be underestimated, but the PSG/Bayern match particularly stood out.
