Warren Zaïre-Emery, 19-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, is starting the match against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2025-2026 Champions League matchday 3. This allows him to break a record previously held by former midfielder Cesc Fabregas (FC Barcelona and Arsenal, among others).
“Warren Zaïre-Emery (19 years and 227 days) becomes the youngest player to play 30 Champions League matches, beating Cesc Fabregas!”
It’s a nice reminder of Zaïre-Emery’s precociousness, whom some have tried to reclassify as an average player due to a difficult period. But he has plenty of talent and impressive maturity, while many talents are also mentioned (logically) in his generation. We can only congratulate the Parisian Titi and wish him to fully resume his progression to establish himself in the long term.
