Marquinhos: “We need to be at our best.”
Did Chelsea hurt you tactically? Yes, absolutely. I think they did a great job exploiting our minor weaknesses. Tactically, they put us under pressure in the first half, and we were slow to respond. We need to learn from this going forward. Teams will study us closely — we have to be at our best. Chelsea came out firing from the start, and we were a bit off the pace.
They were clinical with their chances, and that changes everything. We’ve seen it in the Champions League — against Bayern, against Real. We had our chances, but we weren’t sharp enough.
A message for the fans? Our supporters are always with us — through the highs and the lows. We truly wanted to bring this trophy back to Paris. It only comes around every four years, and it was a golden opportunity. We’re sorry. But it doesn’t take away from the incredible season we’ve had. The fans can be proud. We played to our strengths, stuck to our philosophy, and never backed down.
