At 28 years old, Ousmane Dembélé, the Paris Saint-Germain winger, continues to make his mark far beyond the pitch. The day after PSG’s 3-0 victory against Lille, the recent Ballon d’Or winner enjoyed a public appearance at the Accor Arena during the Enfoirés concert. This moment, as reported by L’Equipe, revealed his newfound status.

“The Ballon d’Or winner attended the Enfoirés concert at the Accor Arena in Paris.”

“The day after PSG’s 3-0 victory against Lille at the Parc des Princes, thanks in particular to a brace from Ousmane Dembélé, the Ballon d’Or winner attended the Enfoirés concert at the Accor Arena in Paris.” The crowd at the Accor Arena welcomed the French international, following Matt Pokora’s lead in the now-famous chant “And Ousmane, Ballon d’Or!” which had first been sung at the Théâtre du Châtelet during the Ballon d’Or ceremony on September 22nd.

2025 marked a turning point in Ousmane Dembélé’s career. Long perceived as a sometimes elusive genius, the French international has become a firmly established figure in the collective imagination. On the pitch, his decisive performances with Paris Saint-Germain spoke for themselves, culminating in the ultimate achievement: the Ballon d’Or.

But it was off the field that his status was truly amplified. Spontaneously celebrated by the crowd, and joined in the chorus on a charity stage alongside Matt Pokora (40 years old), Dembélé reached a new level: that of a popular icon. Rarely has a PSG player so naturally embodied the link between sporting excellence, media recognition, and widespread public support. 2025 not only celebrated a footballer, but also revealed a cultural icon.
