On Wednesday, the Paris Saint-Germain and Dijon women’s teams faced off at the Stade Gaston-Gérard in the quarterfinals of the 2025-2026 Women’s French Cup. After the 2-1 victory, striker Joe Echegini (24 years old) spoke to PSG TV.

Echegini: “We need to get back to work and recover.”

“It wasn’t one of our best matches. I think we’re a bit tired after the trip to Ivory Coast. We played a messy game, but now we’re focusing on Sunday. We need to get back to work and recover. I’m happy to have scored. It’s good for confidence. We want to win as much as possible; the French Cup is a goal. We want to progress, regardless of the opponent.”
