This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st in Ligue 1) take on FC Espaly (12th out of 14 in National 3, 5th French division) at the Stade Marcel-Michelin in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France 2024-2025 (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on beIN SPORTS). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
Given the difference in divisions between the two teams, we can expect some rotation on the PSG side, who have some very important fixtures (the Champions League in the next two weeks) coming up in a potentially very busy schedule. All the more so with the pitch likely to be less than perfect in this usual rugby stadium.
It’s hard to know just how much the squad will rotate, and who will have the pace or the opportunity to shine.
Composition possible :
Barcola – Ramos – Lee
Mayulu – Neves – Zaïre-Emery
Hernandez – Kimpembe – Pacho – Zague
Safonov
Substitutes – Mouquet, Tenas, Mendes, Tape, Ruiz, Zaïre-Emery, Asensio.
Absentees – Marquinhos, Mbaye (injury), Dembélé (illness), Beraldo, Donnarumma, Hakimi (rest), El Hannach, Kolo Muani, Skriniar (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card: Achraf Hakimi.
This would be effective from Tuesday January 28, i.e. against Brest on Matchday 20 of Ligue 1 on February 1.
