This Thursday, the French national team will play Ukraine in a 2026 World Cup qualifier at 8:45 PM at the Parc des Princes. Five Paris Saint-Germain players will be involved in the match: four for France (Lucas Chevalier, Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Bradley Barcola) and one for Ukraine (Ilya Zabarnyi). L’Equipe announced on Wednesday a probable starting lineup for Les Bleus, confirming the one published this morning in Le Parisien.
Mbappé
Barcola – Cherki – Olise
Kanté – Koné
Digne – Upamecano – Saliba – Koundé
Maignan.
A perfectly plausible lineup, and the media seem to have no doubts, even though they are often more accurate with national team coach Didier Deschamps than with PSG coach Luis Enrique. We should therefore see the return of the 4-2-3-1 formation, hopefully with its attacking potential. This includes Barcola, despite recent fatigue, and Cherki, who is shining at Manchester City and starting to establish himself in the French national team.
