Achraf Hakimi, 26-year-old right-back for Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco, has won the Marc Vivien Foé 2025 award for the best African player in Ligue 1. He spoke to RFI, the organizers of the award.
How did it feel?
I saw that I was one of the nominees and now that I’ve won, it’s a huge source of pride to see all the work I’ve done over the years. With this nomination and this award, I’m very happy.
Is it thanks to your great season with PSG?
Yes, I think so. It depends on you (smile). It’s for PSG’s season and mine. It’s good to have this trophy and I’m happy to keep going like this.
