This Tuesday, June 3, while still savoring the Champions League title they won against Inter Milan on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain have a little event to celebrate. It’s the birthday of midfielder/attacker Désiré Doué, who turns 20 today.
Doué arrived last summer from Rennes, his training club, and his first few months were a little “timid”. He had to adapt to a new world and a different game. But he managed to make the most of it, growing in Paris and establishing himself with some outstanding performances.
This culminated in a starting berth in the Champions League final against Inter Milan. And a sparkling performance, with 2 goals and 1 assist. Not to mention his work for the team, always essential in coach Luis Enrique’s team.
Doué has set himself up for a superb career, both for club and country. We hope to see him continue with the same determination and fighting spirit. Without forgetting to let his talent shine through, let’s never forget to give players a little freedom. In the meantime, we wish him a happy birthday.
