This Tuesday, February 25, 2025, as they prepare for tomorrow’s Coupe de France quarter-final against Stade Briochin (National 2) at Roazhon Park, Paris Saint-Germain have two small events to celebrate. These are the birthdays of goalkeepers Gianluigi Donnarumma and Matvey Safonov, both of whom turn 26 today.

On souhaite un joyeux anniversaire et une belle journée à Gigio et Matvey ! 🥳❤️💙

It’s funny to see that the two goalkeepers in competition at PSG were born on the same day, with no doubt more shared celebrations than competition. At least there’s no sign of trouble between them. The relationship seems healthy and each has been performing well of late.

We can only hope that this continues, as it’s a real plus for a club to have serenity in this position. In the meantime, of course, we wish Donnarumma and Safonov happy birthdays.
