Chris Inao Oulaï, the 19-year-old Trabzonspor midfielder currently shining at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast, was invited by Bideew Sports to discuss his future aspirations. He was clear: Ligue 1 and Paris Saint-Germain.
Inao Oulaï: “This new PSG is playing really well.”
“Some people find it strange, but I like Ligue 1. I’m not attracted to the Premier League. I like Ligue 1!”

These are clear words, which could well fuel some rumors. Perhaps Paris already appreciates this profile and will be encouraged by such a statement. At least there’s room for reflection. However, his qualities will have to be just as appealing. Nothing impossible, given his potential, nor easy given the very tough competition.
In any case, it’s refreshing to see a player highlighting Ligue 1 rather than the usual Premier League. It’s a great league, but it’s not the only interesting one.
